Code of Conduct

The GMB Conference is committed to providing a professional, inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all participants. The Conference brings together researchers, academics, practitioners, students, and other professionals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, and we believe that open and constructive exchange is essential to advancing knowledge and fostering meaningful collaboration.
All participants, including authors, reviewers, speakers, chairs, organisers, and attendees, are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, respect, and consideration towards others. Participants should engage in constructive academic discussion, respect diverse perspectives and opinions, and contribute to an environment where all individuals can participate freely and without fear of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or abuse.

Discrimination or harassment based on characteristics such as gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated. Unwelcome sexual attention, bullying, threatening behaviour, intimidation, inappropriate verbal or physical conduct, and sustained disruption of Conference activities are likewise considered unacceptable.

These principles apply to all Conference activities and interactions, including presentations, panel discussions, workshops, networking and social events, as well as Conference-related online platforms and communications.

Participants who experience or witness behaviour that may violate this Code of Conduct are encouraged to report their concerns to the Organising Committee. Reports will be treated seriously and, where appropriate, handled as confidentially as possible. The Organising Committee reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to violations of this Code, including issuing a warning, restricting participation, or removing an individual from Conference activities.

By participating in the GMB Conference, all attendees are expected to contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and constructive environment that supports academic excellence, professional exchange, and collaboration.
